Gas-Assist Molding Analysis
Short Shot Gas-Assist
We have analyzed many gas-assist parts—from large parts with gas channels to small handles—including evaluation using short-shot, spillover* and local packing techniques.
Gas-assist requires the use of a midplane mesh. One reason for our success with gas-assist analysis is the application of our experience to the generation of accurate midplane models. It is vital to understand the correct methods for modeling gas-channels and spillovers as well as thick-walled geometry.
3-D Gas-Assist
As an extension of our 3-D analysis and gas-assist experience, 3D Shapes will be offering 3-D gas-assist in 2004.
