3D Shapes Becomes Certified Moldflow Channel Partner
Consulting firm offers ConsultToOwn program to purchase Moldflow software products.
SHARON, MA:, January 13, 2004 -- 3D Shapes, Inc., an independent high tech consulting firm that provides finite element analysis (FEA) services for product development and manufacturing, today announces its status as a Silver Certified partner of Moldflow Corporation's Consulting Partner program. 3D Shapes will sell and support Moldflow Part Adviser (MPA) and Moldflow Mold Adviser software products.
MPA solutions allow users to predict and solve injection molding manufacturing problems in the earliest stages of product development. Manufacturing constraints can be considered at the same time as form, fit and function. The Moldflow Mold Adviser module extends the capabilities of the Moldflow Part Adviser to allow users to create and simulate plastic flow through single cavity, multi-cavity and family molds. Users can optimize gate type, size and location as well as runner layout, size and cross-sectional shape.
As an added value, 3D Shapes offers significant credits toward the purchase of Moldflow Part Adviser and Mold Adviser software products as a direct result of providing consulting services. For a 6 month period, 3D Shapes will credit up to $500 per consulting project toward the eventual purchase of Moldflow Part Adviser or Moldflow Mold Adviser.
Mark Howards, 3D Shapes president and owner, says, "As a Moldflow channel partner, we provide the opportunity for clients to evaluate the products by taking advantage of our consulting expertise on a particular project. From this experience, they can purchase the design tools at a reduced rate. We call this approach ConsultToOwn."
"This channel partnership is a win-win opportunity for customers, 3D Shapes, and Moldflow," says John Twerdok, Moldflow's director of strategic alliances. "3D Shapes maintains excellent relationships with premiere companies that can benefit from both the company's engineering talents, as well as the power and breadth of Moldflow product functionality. The credit incentive program that 3D Shapes has created is a terrific way for new customers to add top of the line design capabilities to their organizations at reduced rates."
